I am confident

that Hayden will have a long illustrious career as a rock/mountain climber. He can scale the kitchen cabinets using one knob and the face of the cabinet and flip himself over the counter before I can catch him from across the room.

Hayden has had a busy couple of days. He has kept me on my toes and has proven to showcase some more talents. I certainly have had my patience tested over and over, and have been using my sisters pre-baby advice of counting to at least 10. In the past 2 days Hayden has:
1. emptied out the liquid laundry soap into the dryer, and all over his train table
2. climbed his dresser
3. pushed over and climbed on his ottoman to reach in his built-ins
4. climbed our dresser
5. wiped my kerasal foot creme on his face and gave it a good taste
6. climbed the kitchen cabinets and broke the knob off of our camera on top of the counter
7. attempted to climb our tall narrow dresser only to have it tip over

But on the flip side he has given me a million smooches, hugs, and laughs. But seriously today is the first day I called Joey at work and told him I didn't think I was cut out for this stay at home mom business.
I took a nap when Hayden did and am feeling a lot better.
We are going to have a busy night attaching all of the dressers to the wall, re-installing the baby gate for the kitchen, and removing all possible movable climbing objects.

Some children call their mothers..............

mom, ma-ma, ma, mommie, mother.

Mine refers to me as honey.

Happy Friday!

I am looking forward to a weekend at home! Hopefully I get a lot accomplished. I don't have a to do list yet, but I am sure if I really thought about it I could come up with one.
Yesterday we took Hayden to the Dr. and he has an ear infection. I have been battling a sore throat and stuffy head for at least a week, so Joey and I went into our Dr. today. I have a sinus infection, and Joey's sore ear isn't an ear infection, just slow draining eustachian tubes. So Hayden and I are on antibiotics, and Joey has nasal spray.
Tonight we have a contractor giving us an estimate on facia soffets. He originally came to give us an estimate on siding as well, but can't do siding without changing the shape of our house. We like all of the curves of our home, so we decided against it. I am sure the facia and soffets will be a huge cost anyway, so I bet we won't do anything. It may motivate us though to paint our trim.:)
Then we are headed to our friends home to divy up our portion of a cow we had processed. We are splitting a 4th of a cow with them.
Then I am not sure what the rest of the weekend holds. I am sure it will fly by like usual.
Have a good one!

This pretty much sums up our weekend

Bellows Family Visit

We had a great weekend with the Bellows family!
We arrived late Thursday and hung out for a while before Hayden and I hit the sack. Joey and Matt sat in the hot tub and chatted until the wee hours of the morning.

Friday we went to the outlet mall. Then after we got the children settled in for the evening Stacy and I went to a jewelry party at her friend's home. Joey and Matt went night golfing in a tournament. Matt's niece Amy watched the kids. Hayden cried a lot, as Emma reported. He wanted his Daddyo as he calls Joey. He did go to bed and cried for 10 minutes. I was pleased he went to bed without putting up a big fight. Stacy and I enjoyed the hot tub when we got home. It was a perfect evening, and was nice to chat!

Saturday we went to a kids fair in a neighboring town. Joey stayed home and did homework. The kids had a blast. Hayden got to go in a firetruck, and ambulance. He loved seeing all of the animals, playing the carnival games, and watching Emma in the blow up jumping things.

Saturday evening we left the kids with Amy again, and went out to dinner. Hayden only cried for a few minutes. We had a yummy Mexican dinner at Acapulco. Then it was off to one of Matt's accounts for drinks and BINGO. We had a blast, and it was great to hang out and chat.

We had a great weekend and like usual it flew by!

Addicted!

Ok, so I must confess my new addiction! I am absolutely addicted to the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. My friend has been trying to get me to read the books. They are abut vampires and high schoolers. I told her I wasn't interested because I had no interest in reading about vampires, or high school drama. Then she reminded me that I enjoyed Harry Potter, but wasn't interested in reading about magic.
I am glad she was persistent. I am loving theses books. Let's just say I am on the 4th and last book, 700 plus pages, and have finished reading 1,000 plus pages in 6 days.
So, if you are looking for a great series to dip into, I highly recommend it.
Back to my reading!!!!!!!

Thursday already!

This week seemed to fly by. We have had a great and busy week. Monday Hayden had another great day at PDO. He is loving playing with everyone and talks about Marci and Jody his teachers all of the time.
Today we watched a boy for 3 hours. Then we met Bev for lunch. Hayden did awesome, he usually does not enjoy eating out. We enjoyed the salad bar at Hy-Vee. Then Hayden went with grandma to pick out a balloon, while I picked up a few groceries. They met me at the door with a balloon for Hayden and a few roses for me.
Our old neighbors came over to play, watch the homecomming parade at the corner, and eat dinner. Hayden had a great time playing with his old friends. We sure do miss having them next door.
Tomorrow Hayden has PDO and we will be leaving to Minnesota to spend some time with the Bellows family. We are excited to hang out with them and visit!

Amen

Last night I was laying in bed reading a book, and Hayden was laying in his bed winding down. I could hear him singing to himself. All of the sudden I heard him say, "God bless mommy, God bless daddy, and God bless Hayden. AAAAMMMMEEENNNNNN". I love moments like these, when he is just being himself in his room before bed.

Just number one gazillionfafilionmajillion and one why I love him.
