Baby

We just discovered that Hayden loves babies. No, I am not talking about Bud Saul this time. I am talking about real human babies.

Tuesday we met our friends at the park, and then they came here to play more, eat lunch, and enjoy the weather.

Hayden loved his friends new little brother Henry. He sat on my lap when I held him and felt his feet and said, "cute toes". Then he would kiss his head and then want me to kiss his head. He couldn't keep his hands off of Henry. Hayden also sang Henry Baby Mine. He even was very interested in watching Nancy change Henry's diaper.

Nancy thought it was sooo cute and said Henry's older brother (Hayden's friend) never has done any of that and could care less about coddling Henry. Then she asked Hayden if he wanted a baby at his house and Hayden quickly stated NO and went back to helping me pat Henry's back.
I am not sure when the next baby will make an appearance at our house, but it looks like Hayden is ready. Kind of. :)

Beautiful Day

It was 76 today. We are loving the warm weather. Even though it is going to dip back into the 50's the rest of the week. It was nice while it lasted. We have spent most of our time outside playing in the sand and golfing. Today we met our friends at the park by our house and they came over for lunch afterward.
Then Hayden and I rushed off to the St. Patty's Day Parade downtown to meet some friends. How could you not go to a parade when it is 75 degrees out?!?! We got there too late to meet up with our friends, so Hayden and I watched the parade through the crowd. Hayden had to sit on my shoulders for most of the parade.
Tonight we are going to grill out and then go to the school to play tennis. Joey had been riding his motorcycle to work the past 2 days and is loving it.
Hopefully it won't be to long until the 70's come back in the forecast.

I'm back

I had a great weekend with Stacy and Kelli. Much needed girl, food, relaxing, shopping, and scrapbooking time.
I headed up Thursday evening to get the house in order.
Friday morning I visited Grandma Goodie. After that I wandered around town, just because I could. It was nice to have time to myself. I met John and Darliene at the new goodwill. I actually found a broiler pan for our 1948 oven. I was ecstatic! After that we went out to lunch.
Kelli arrived in town and I met her at Hy-Vee. We had fun browsing the isles.
Then we went to my Mom's and moved furniture, unloaded vehicles, and set up our stations for the next few days.
Stacy arrived shortly after and we went to Hobby Lobby for supplies. We ended up going in when it was light and left when it was very dark! Once again, we just enjoyed wondering around the store because we could.
Saturday we scrapbooked all day. We snacked on yummy food we all brought. Saturday evening we went to eat at the Brown Bottle and out for a few drinks.
Sunday we scrapped for a while before we packed up and headed home.
It was a great weekend, and I am looking forward to the next time we get together. Hopefully I will get more pages done next time. :)

Screwdriver

I am thinking it is going to be a long night when Hayden got out of bed at 9:30 and asked if he could have a screwdriver.

This is what we had for dinner tonight. It is our new favorite

Crunchy Parmesan Chicken

3oz Can French Fried Onions
3/4 C Parmesan Cheese, Grated
1/4 C dry bread crumbs
1t paprika
1/2t salt
Dash of pepper
4 Chicken Breasts (boneless, skinless)
1 egg beaten
1T milk
1/4 C Butter Melted

1. Combine fried onions, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside. I crush the fried onions.
2. In separate bowl, combine egg and milk. Dip chicken breasts in egg/milk mixture. Place in buttered 12x8 baking dish.
3. Pour butter over chicken. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes or until golden brown.

The first time I made this I put the butter in the egg/milk mixture accidentally.
It was fine.
Now I omit the butter altogether.

Happy 32nd Joey

On the 16th we celebrated Joey's 32nd birthday. We went out to eat at hit favorite Mexican restaurant. Our friend Kari joined us. Then we headed home for cake. It was a great time.

We took down Hayden's toddler bed. He is now sleeping on a single mattress. In the above pic the mattress is just on the floor because we didn't have a frame yet. We got a frame and then made a platform bed for him. Joey cut some wood and we put it across the frame, then we laid the mattress on top of that. We decided to not use the box spring now so the bed is lower. He loves it!

Happy 32nd to me!

This weekend we celebrated our Birthday's with Joey's family. Hayden was sooo excited to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa P. He cheered wit joy as he got in the car to go up Saturday.

Bev made a wonderful turkey dinner. We hung out and ate cake to celebrate. I got a set of corelle dishes. I love them!!!!

Bev and Joe offered to watch Hayden so we could go out and celebrate. We went out with John and Darliene and had a fun time. I did learn however that 3 big margaritas from Carlos O Kelley's is too much for me. :)
